WOW Challenge
Schools can participate any week in October 2024.
We are excited to announce the 5th annual Walk or Wheel (WOW) Challenge! This Challenge promotes safe walking and biking to school with a $250 prize for the two schools that are the most successful.
What is the Walk or Wheel Challenge?
The WOW Challenge is a one-week walking and biking competition between Dane County schools that is happening this October. The WOW Challenge asks schools to organize and plan activities that are proven to increase walking and biking to school and make it safer to do so. Schools participating in the WOW Challenge have seen many huge increases in walking and biking–and huge decreases in traffic–as a result.

You can take part in the WOW Challenge any week in October. International Walk/Bike to School Day is Wed, Oct 5 2024 which has traditionally been the WOW Challenge week, but once again this year you can choose the week that works best for your school.
